At Louth Distillery, we believe great gin should do good too. That’s why we’ve given our beloved Pin Gin a sleek new look – and it’s not just a pretty bottle. Our brand-new design is a massive 205g lighter than the previous square version, helping us reduce our environmental impact without compromising on style.

By switching to this lighter, more sustainable packaging, we’re cutting down our carbon footprint by an estimated 2.29 tonnes of COâ‚‚e every single year – that’s the equivalent of driving a car around the world! It’s a small change with a big impact.

From Humble Beginnings to a Lincolnshire Legacy

In 2016, a passion for spirits and a nod to family heritage sparked the inception of what would become Lincolnshire's first commercial gin distillery in modern times. Starting with a modest 35-litre copper alembic still affectionately named Dotty, the team embarked on a journey to craft a gin that truly represented the spirit of the county.

What began as a small-scale endeavor quickly gained momentum. By early 2017, Pin Gin was launched, capturing the essence of Lincolnshire's rich agricultural landscape and resonating with gin enthusiasts across the UK. The commitment to quality and local sourcing played a pivotal role in its rapid growth and popularity.

Today, operating from the heart of Louth, the distillery stands as a testament to innovation and community spirit. With a range of award-winning gins and a dedication to sustainable practices, it continues to celebrate its roots while looking forward to an exciting future.

​We are lucky to call Louth home. Nestled in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, we aren't short of beautiful views and inspiration.

Our distillery is set in the quaint market town of Louth in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a region famous for its heritage and stunning natural beauty. As unsuspecting as Lincolnshire might seem, we have a dominant agri-food sector, with internationally recognised industries located all around us. Producing around 30% of the nation's vegetables, the UK’s largest fish processing cluster located just 20 minutes away on the Humber and all of this leading into a county, boasting a 21% economic output (in comparison to a 7% national average) associated with Food Chain – so where else would we want our distillery?!
